METEA VALLEY VS. HINSDALE CENTRAL - 5/22/18

By Steve Nielsen
Scouting Supervisor - Illinois/Wisconsin

Kyle Wisch, RHP, Hinsdale Central, 2019
6-foot-4, 200-pound right-handed pitcher, impressive frame, large durable build. Worked exclusively from the stretch, stays directional, simple lift, load and go. Arm action works out of a high ¾ slot, loose out front, occasionally underneath the baseball, above average arm strength. Fastball sat 85-88 mph, mostly straight four seam type, held velo and sat 84-86 mph in the ninth, touching 88 mph twice. Slider has 10/4 lateral shape, ranged 75-79 mph, used primarily to get swing and miss out of the zone. Curveball plays with more depth on steeper plane, 71-73 mph, ability to drop for strikes. Final line: 9IP, 4H, 2ER, 8K, 2BB. Follow 2019 arm, one of the better 2019 available arms in the state.
