This week we take one final look at the roster from our Maryland Top Prospect Games II at Towson University. Today we continue with a full analysis of the infielders from the event. 

 

MARYLAND TOP PROSPECT GAMES II INFIELDERS (LISTED ALPHABETICALLY)

 

MIDDLE INFIELDERS

 

Graham Albers 2B/SS Oakdale 2020
Athletic body type with room to grow at 5-foot-7, 125 pounds. Hits from a taller, balanced, athletic, and slightly open stance at the plate. Quick back load with a short stride and explosive lower half movements. Stays behind the ball well with a short, level swing path and an exit velo of 81 mph. Line drive type hitter. Plays with active feet and showed nice actions in the infield. Showed soft hands and quick, clean exchanges playing through the ball well. Throws with a short arm action from a low three-quarters slot at 78 mph. Ran a 4.50 home-to-first.

Jake Becker 2B/SS Sherwood 2021
Athletic body type and 5-foot-7, 145 pound frame. Hits from a balanced, athletic, slightly closed stance at the plate. Shorter smooth back load and gets some lower half involvement in swing. Quick hands and fast bat speed. Stays behind and through the ball well. Showed excellent balance throughout swing. Short, level swing path with an exit velo of 77 mph. Line drive type hitter and uses the whole field with ease. Athletic and plays with active feet in the infield. Stays low and plays through the ball with soft hands. Fluid footwork and rhythm with quick, clean exchanges. Longer arm action throwing from a low three-quarter slot at 76 mph. Ran a 4.50 home-to-first time from the left side.
