In August of each year, area MLB scouts put together teams from different regions down the east coast to participate for one week at the East Coast Professional Baseball Showcase (ECP).  One of the premier scouting events of each summer, MLB has partnered with USA Baseball for the workout and tryout process for the ECP beginning this year.

Workouts and tryouts are by invitation only.  This past Sunday a group of players from NC, SC, and Virginia gathered in Cary and at the National Training Complex to workout for scouts with the hopes of being added to the ECP week in early August.  PBR was there continuing our coverage of North Carolina baseball and beginning to prepare for the 2018 MLB Draft.
