Norris & Hollins Face Off as Green Hope Edges Heritage

Green Hope 4    Heritage 2

Game Recap:
In a pitching matchup between UNC-Chapel Hill commit, Liam Norris (Green Hope LHP, 2020) and UNC-Greensboro commit, Jalen Hollins (Heritage LHP, 2020), Green Hope was able to outlast Heritage and won the game 4 to 2.

Green Hope would jump out to a 2-0 lead after the top of the 1st.  The Falcons would add to their lead with single runs in the 5th and 6th to take the victory.  Offensively, Green Hope was led by Liam Mchale’s two RBIs.  Seven different Falcons recorded hits with Kohl Abrams and Kevin Pitarra each hitting doubles. 

Heritage was paced by Whit Kane, going 3-3.  Cameron O’Brien had the lone RBI for the Huskies. 

On the mound, the star matchup lived up to the billing.  Norris worked 3 innings, striking out 3 and allowing 1 earned run.  Hollins, threw 5 innings, striking out 5 and allowing 3 earned runs.  The Green Hope bullpen of Elmo Arimurti and Angel Collzao combined to go 4 innings, giving up 4 hits and 1 run.  They punched 3 and only walked 1.
