Ontario Insider: 2017 Fall Finale - Sneak Peek

Chris Kemlo and PBR Staff
PBR Ontario Scouting Director

We would like to thank all who participated in PBR Ontario's 2017 Fall Finale this past week. This was a great opportunity for 2018-2022 prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase.

In the coming weeks, we will be adding and updating profiles for each of the players in attendance, including complete analysis and video.

Ontario Insider: 2017 Fall Finale - Sneak Peek

Our last event of 2017 saw players from the 2018 - 2021 class come out and showcase their tools as we were able to step away from the indoor facilities just in time to soak up what very easily could be our last great weekend of tolerable fall weather. Players were run through your typical showcase workout and a lot of players showed strong performances leading into the off-season.

We give a quick look at some of the players that grabbed our attention this past Sunday and some young players to continue to follow and track their development.

The Arms

Many players made a strong impression on the hill this past Sunday, and we start with one of the young arms in 2020 left-hander Tiago Gulino-Guerreiro (Ontario Terriers). A presence at only 15 years old, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound lefty passes the eye test while he repeated his delivery well in his lower half to go along with a clean arm action and takeaway in the back. Fastball worked 79-80 and he moved well on the mound with feel and control throughout. Did lack some feel for his curveball and changeup, spun it at times so you know it will develop but Tiago is advanced for his age with feel for his delivery and the size and strength he currently possesses.
