Ontario Insider: Breakout Performers Of The Summer

Throughout the summer of 2017, we have had many showcases across the province and in the states. Below we look to highlight some of the breakout performers from the summer. Along with the 10 listed below, there have been many others that impressed at individual showcases. 

Carter Arbuthnot SS / 2B / Maxwell Heights, ON / 2019 Rankings  State Rank:70 POS:10 Events Attended: Future Game Trials Scouting Report: Arbuthnot had a very solid day at the FGT both during the workout session and in game action. The 2019 left-handed hitting middle infielder showed a quiet and compact swing with a line drive approach as he looked to stay inside the baseball and work up the middle. Sure handed infielder with clean actions defensively, made the plays going to both sides with proper fundamentals. Outlook: As Arbuthnot continues to improve, the biggest component for him will be adding strength. The actions have grown each time we’ve see him, and the biggest tools he currently lacks is strength.
