Randleman Rolls to 11-0 Win in Round 2

PBR of North Carolina was at Randleman on Thursday May 12th for a 2A Round 2 matchup as the #1 Randleman Tigers hosted the  #16 East Gaston Warriors in front of a packed house. 

The defending 2A State Champs wasted no time putting runs on the board with Brooks Brannon launching a 2-Run home run to right for the early lead. The Tigers would add 5 more runs in the 2nd inning highlighted by RBI hits from Hunter Atkins and Braylen Hayes. After being held scoreless in the 4th the deep, talented Randleman lineup added 4 more in the 4th to make the score 11-0. Tiger starter Drake Purvis recorded all 3 outs with strikeouts in the 5th to close the game out with the run rule in effect. Purvis allowed one hit and struck out 11 on the night. With the win Randleman improves to 27-1 on the year, unbeaten in North Carolina and will host Round 3 next week against Mt. Pleasant.
