Scouting the Keystone State Academy College Coaches Instructional Camp

By Jacob Gill
Philadelphia Region Director of Scouting

Keystone State Baseball Academy hosted its first College Coaches Instructional Camp over the past weekend. Coaches from Delaware State, Maryland, Monmouth, Penn State, Rutgers, Stony Brook, Towson, and UMBC were on hand to impart some of their knowledge on the participants. With PBR Pennsylvania's office now located in Keystone State Baseball Academy, we had the opportunity to check out the proceedings. Below is a sampling of the players who stood out.

Class of 2016

  • A fullback on the gridiron, Germantown Academy first baseman Billy Brittingham sports a physically developed frame and has a chance to develop into one of the top left-handed power bats in the state.
  • Ephrata Area shortstop Nate Fassnacht has professional-level arm strength across the diamond. The switch-hitter is a natural righty with some pop from that side, while his left-handed stroke continues to improve as he matures.
