THE FIVE: Uncommitted 2020 Corner INFs - N. California

Defense is at a premium at the college level, particularly so at the D1 level on the West Coast where there are so often low scoring games to due the number of high caliber pitching prospects from our region.

That being said, runs do need to be scored and corner infielders are often the players depended upon to bang the ball and be run producers. Strength, bat speed, power potential, and a physically projectable frame are all attributes that attract college recruiters to corner infielders.

This edition of  THE FIVE features five Northern California 3rd basemen, a few of whom are also good pitchers and could possibly contribute on the mound as well. In the coming years, the ability to contribute as a two-way player will become more and more valuable (possibly even in the pro game in the not too distant future).

Please enjoy this peak at Chase Minor, Jake Pina, David Rodriguez, Joey Bell, and Kevin Haynes.
