5 Fastest Players in the 2022 Class

You can do explosive workouts in the weight room, speed and agility training, work on running form, but speed is the toughest tool to teach. Anyone can improve their speed, but a 7.2 (60 yard dash) runner at 16-18 years old is very unlikely to become a 6.2 runner. You either have speed or you don’t. A player with a legit run tool is going to make an impact on every game, regardless of how hot or cold they are as a hitter. Defensively, the run tool is most important at SS, CF, and the outfield in general. But with more elite athletes switching to baseball these days, you can even have a plus runner at catcher. Harry Ford, the No. 2 (overall) ranked player in the PBR Georgia 2021 Rankings routinely turned in plus or better home to first times. The single most important stat for any baseball team is runs scored. Plain and simple, speed creates more runs and takes pressure off a team’s hitters. It causes defenders to rush and make errors. In our opinion, a stolen base is just as electric as a 405 foot bomb. There are no cloggers in this article, only burners and gliders! Below are the 5 fastest players in the state for 2022.

No. 5 - Parker Brosius, CF, Lambert, 6’2 170 lbs (Georgia Tech Commit)
