Over 30 uncommitted players from the 2020 - 2023 graduating classes came to Mount St. Mary's University this year for the PBR Maryland Top Prospect Games West. Tons of talent was on display as each player participated in a pro-style workout and game in front of college coaches from around the region and our PBR scouting staff. Below is an analysis of each of the outfielders at the event. Top Prospect Games West: Outfielders

Brady Bakner OF / 1B / Grace Academy , MD / 2020 Strong, athletic body type and 5’10’’, 155 pound frame. Hits from a balanced, open stance from the left side with hands at shoulder height and bat vertical. Short, quick front leg lift load with hand separation. Showed excellent balance in the box and stays behind the ball well. Quick, compact swing and with a slightly uphill path. Strong lower half involvement, good extension, and a one-handed finish. Gap-to-gap line drive type hitter and recorded an exit velocity of 91 mph. Plays through the ball in the outfield with fundamental footwork and throws with short arm action over the top at 80 mph. Ran a 6.95 60-yard time.

Adam Hicks OF / 3B / Gilman, MD / 2023 Athletic body type and 5’8’’, 145 pound frame. Hits from a balanced, slightly open stance at the plate. Smooth, controlled weight transfer to back side with a small leg kick and very nice hand separation. Strong lower half involvement in the swing and stays behind the ball through contact. Short to the ball with an uphill swing path. Showed some bat speed and gets good extension through contact with a one-handed finish. Gap-to-gap line drive type hitter with some pop and plenty more in the swing as he continues to mature. Recorded an exit velocity of 72 mph. Plays through the ball in the outfield with fundamental footwork and throws with long arm action from a high three-quarter slot at 75 mph. Ran a 7.72 60-yard time.

Shane Kelleher OF / Avon Grove, PA / 2020 Strong, athletic body type and 5’11’’, 175 pound frame. Hits from a balanced, square stance at the plate with front foot and knee inverted. Short, quick load with good hand separation. Strong lower half involvement, quick hands, and fast bat speed. Short to the ball with a slightly uphill swing path. Good extension through contact and a strong finish. Gap type hitter with power present. Recorded a 92 mph exit velocity. Attacks the ball in the outfield and showed quick footwork and clean exchanges. Throws with long arm action from a high three-quarter slot at 81 mph. Ran a 6.71 60-yard time.

Ben Litkowski OF / 2B / Severna Park, MD / 2020 Strong, athletic body type and 5’10’’, 170 pound frame. Hits from a tall, balanced, slightly open stance at the plate. Medium sized leg kick load with some hand separation. Showed some lower half involvement and a slightly uphill swing path. Good balance and stays behind the ball well with a one-handed finish. Mostly stayed short to the ball but showed a tendency to get long at times. Used the whole field well and stayed gap-to-gap with some pop. Recorded a 79 mph exit velocity. Plays through the ball in the outfield with quick footwork and showed clean exchanges. Throws with long arm action from a mid to high three-quarter slot at 70 mph. Ran a 6.91 60-yard time.

Chase Miller OF / OF / River Hill, MD / 2021 Long, lean, athletic body type and projectable 6’1’’, 155 pound frame. Hits from a slightly crouched, balanced, and slightly open stance at the plate. Short, quick load and good hand separation. Strong lower half involvement with quick hands and fast bat speed. Short to the ball with a slightly uphill swing path. Gets uphill through contact with good extension and a strong finish. Gap-to-gap line drive type hitter with occasional pull side power. Recorded and 83 mph exit velocity. Attacks the ball in the outfield and showed quick footwork and clean exchanges. Throws with long arm action from a low to mid three-quarter slot at 76 mph. Ran a 6.77 60-yard time.

Jason Rivera OF / LHP / St. Maria Goretti, MD / 2021 Strong, athletic body type and projectable 5’11’’, 163 pound frame. Hits from a balanced, square stance from the left side. Smooth back load with good hand separation. Explosive lower half involvement with excellent balance throughout the swing. Stays behind the ball well with quick hands, fast bat speed, and an uphill swing path. Short to the ball with good extension and a strong finish. Very nice gap-to-gap approach with power present to all fields. Recorded an 89 mph exit velocity. Attacks the ball in the outfield with quick footwork and showed clean exchanges. Throws with long arm action from a high three-quarter slot at 84 mph. Ball showed some life and carry to the plate. Ran a 6.97 60-yard time.

Jack Surdez RHP / OF / Frederick, MD / 2021 Athletic, lean body type and 6’0’’, 155 pound frame. Hits from a balanced, square stance at the plate with hands back in a pre-loaded position. Creates some rhythm with a medium sized leg kick load. Showed some lower half involvement and a short, compact level swing. Quick hands and bat speed and stays behind the ball well with good extension through contact. Line drive type hitter with occasional pull side pop. Recorded an exit velocity of 82 mph. Attacks the ball in the outfield with fundamental footwork and quick, clean exchanges. Throws with long arm action from a high three-quarter slot at 78 mph. Ran a 7.73 60-yard time.

Joshua Wagner OF / SS / Brunswick, MD / 2021 Athletic body type and 5’9’’, 155 pound frame. Hits from a balanced, slightly open stance at the plate with hands back in a pre-loaded position. Short stride and showed some lower half involvement in the swing. Takes hands directly to the ball with a level swing path that has a tendency to get slightly uphill at times. Gets out on front side a times and showed a strong finish. Quick hands with some bat speed. Nice middle of the field line drive approach. Recorded a 73 mph exit velocity. Plays through the ball in the outfield with quick footwork and clean exchanges. Throws with short arm action from a high three-quarter slot at 77 mph. Ran a 7.44 60-yard time.
