Uncommitted 2021s

Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

The recruiting window is getting smaller with COVID-19 affecting summer schedules. Below are some uncommitted 2021s who coaches should familiarize themselves with before they are able to get back on the road.

Danny Alvarado, C, South Salem HS, OR
Alvarado sports a sturdy, developed frame with strength throughout at 6-foot-2, 220 pounds and has one of the loudest bats in the state of Oregon. His hands are loose and relaxed and he stays short and quick to the ball. Defensively, he presents a big target behind the plate and uses efficient footwork to get out of his crouch and into his throwing motion. He throws from a 3/4 slot and the ball stays on line to the bag. At third base, he moves well for his size, showing steady tempo and pace in his fielding actions and a soft glove hand.
