Monday night Jamestown visited the Lafayette Rams and we were on hand for all of the action. It was a pitcher's duel early on between a trio of 2022 pitchers. Reid Lampert got the start for Jamestown and threw six strong innings. Lafayette rolled out two right handers in Kevin Cole and Price Whitaker. Things were pretty quiet on the offensive front until the fifth inning. Price Whitaker, who was on in relief, would double with one out and later score to put Lafayette up. Jamestown would answer with two runs in the top of the sixth. Those two runs came via a hit by pitch and a Isaac Tucker single to right field. With Luke Hanson (Virginia) leading off the bottom of the sixth, it would not take Lafayette long to take the lead back. Hanson tripled to start the bottom of the sixth and he would score one pitch later on a South McDowell sacrifice fly. A few batters later Price Whitaker would once again double to left field and this time it would put the Rams up for good. Final score was 3-2 in favor of Lafayette.

Now for some notes and video on three players, including two uncommitted 2022's.
