This event featured 25+ players from the Montreal area in the 2024 - 2027 classes and allowed our staff an opportunity to get an in-depth look at the

Earlier this month, we broke down the top measurable data performers from the event with our Statistical AnalysisPitching Data Dive and Positional Data Dive. Now, we conclude our post-event coverage in this "Quick Hits" article with scouting notes and video on eight standouts from the event.

Aidan Hartholt RHP / 1B / Sacred Heart, ON / 2026

‘26 RHP/1B Aidan Hartholt posted the top fastball velocity at the event at 87.5mph. Strong, sturdy frame at 6-foot-3, 205-pounds and works with a three-pitch mix. Heavy fastball that sat 85-87mph throughout the entirety of the bullpen and the breaking ball comes with some interesting characteristics. Hartholt creates a ton of depth on the pitch (-16.6 avg IVB) at 67-72mph with 99% spin efficiency. Also flashed a changeup at 78-79mph with heavy horizontal action (17.2 avg HM). Comes with size on the mound and there’s plenty to like with all three pitches in his arsenal.

Michael Bizier RHP / Vanier College, QC / 2024

‘24 RHP Michael Bizier comes with a smaller stature at 5-foot-9, 145-pounds and his overall stuff has really trended upwards since we saw him last fall in Montreal. The fastball sat comfortably at 84-86mph and was up to 2300+ spin. Bizier worked with a pair of offspeed pitches and the changeup was the better of the two with feel for the pitch at 72-73mph and 16.3in of avg horizontal break. The breaking ball sat 69-71mph with the ability to land it for strikes. Another good showing from Bizier who’s stuff would no doubt play at the college level.

Charles Bernatchez OF / RHP / Seminaire Saint-Francois, QC / 2025

‘25 OF/RHP Charles Bernatchez continues to be one of the top players in attendance every time our staff hosts an open event in Quebec. He possesses true two-way potential right now and led the way offensively with the top exit velocity (94.5mph) and the top distance (350ft). Comes with a live arm that obviously plays on the mound and translates into the outfield with the top velocity at the position at the event (86mph). Has strike-throwing abilities on the mound and the fastball sat 83-84mph with life through the zone and spin at 2350+. Had one of the best breaking balls at the event with top-to-bottom look at average spin at 2900+ and true feel for it. Highly intriguing talent out of Quebec’s 2025 class who does a lot of things right on the field and continues to trend upwards.

Garrett Rochon RHP / Osgoode Township, ON / 2024

‘25 RHP Garrett Rochon is a good looking unsigned senior arm and looks the part on the mound at 6-foot-1, 210-pounds. The fastball sat 84-85mph with arm-side run from a long, clean arm-action and good direction towards the plate which allows him to pound the zone with all his pitches. Features a pair of breaking balls with a curveball at 69-71mph (2450rpm avg.) with depth and vertical look, while the slider has tight spin and vertical look at 75-77mph. Also flashed a developing changeup at 79-80mph.

Sam Byers C / Cairine Wilson, ON / 2024

‘24 C Sam Byers was one of the top performing catchers at the event and is no-doubt worth a look from college coaches still looking for an incoming catcher. Started his day by running a 7.16 60-yard dash, third-best at the event, and followed it up with the best pop-time at the event, ranging between 2.07 - 2.13 (75mph). The left-handed hitter put together one of the most consistent rounds of the day, consistently finding the barrel and working to the middle of the field with a line-drive approach. Posted a peak exit velocity of 92mph and peak distance of 295ft.

Brycen Wagner-Pont OF / 3B / Beaconsfield, QC / 2025

‘25 OF/3B Brycen Wagner-Pont had some of the best overall actions at the event and the metrics were also among the best. Right-handed hitter with proportionate frame at 5-foot-10, 170-pounds with short swing that’s direct to the ball. Found the barrel 50% of the time with a peak exit velocity of 91.1mph and distance of 328ft. Moves well with a 60-yard dash of 6.89, second-best at the event, and has arm strength in the outfield with the second-best velocity at the position at the event (85mph). Great overall showing from the uncommitted 2025 outfielder.

Lham Yeo SS / RHP / Ecole Du Phare, QC / 2027

’27 SS/RHP Lham Yeo was one of the youngest players at the event and stood out with quality overall actions in all areas of the game. 5-foot-10, 150-pounds with strength to come as he matures and already shows the ability to drive the ball to pullside with a peak distance of 321ft and peak exit velocity of 88.3mph with the wood bat. Rhythmic hands with open setup and big leg-kick from the right-side. Also impressed up the middle with his actions, footwork and ability to use multiple slots and throw on the run. Intriguing young talent out of Quebec who we expect to continue trending upwards over the next four years.

Jean-Philippe Guilbeault SS / RHP / Saint-Gabriel, QC / 2025

This was our second look at Jean-Phillipe Guilbeault and he once again impressed with his work up the middle and his right-handed swing. Still undersized at 5-foot-5, 130-pounds and will be fun to see how much he can elevate his game as he begins to add weight and fill out. Smooth right-handed swing with feel for the barrel (61%, second-best at event) and line-drive, gap-to-gap approach. Active feet at the shortstop position and plays through the ball with 77mph arm across the diamond.
