2021 Scout Day: Mass Hurricanes - Quick Hits

THE BATS

  • Matthew Donahue - Donahue is a physical right-handed hitter. The hands are quick and uses the whole field.
  • Joshua Mykytiw - Mykytiw uses a simple, quick approach to create a lot of loud contact.
  • Zack Oles - Oles uses a slightly uphill path and his long limbs to create good torque with his swing.

THE ARMS

  • Matthew Donahue - Donahue uses a higher ¾ arm slot that gets a lot of sink on a low 80’s fastball. His breaking ball has tight spin and the change-up has good fading action.
  • Colby Geddis - Geddis has a long, loose arm. The fastball has run and the breaking ball has tight spin.
  • Anthony Sacchetti - Sacchetti showed a low 80’s fastball with tilt and a sweeping breaking ball.

THE DEFENDERS

  • Colby DeCouta - DeCouta is an athletic catcher with a quick arm behind the plate.
  • Danny Powers - Powers showed a fluid arm and athletic feet from the outfield.
  • Seamus Marshall - Marshall is athletic around the bag at first and shows a strong arm across the diamond.
