Joey Hylinski RHP / Legion Collegiate Academy, SC / 2022

The athletic RHP was a big winner at Saturday's Preseason All State Showcase. He featured a loose whippy arm action with excellent feel for a an advanced repertoire. The 2020 Team Carolina's Future Games participant was 84 to 88 with his FB ranging from 2300-2500 avg. spin rate and ripped off some big time SL's that consistently landed at 79 mph with 2700 rpm's.

Chase Mckelvey 3B / RHP / Beaufort , SC / 2023

McKelvey showed why he is a high upside two way prospect in the state of SC. He put together a solid round of BP with consistent hard contact with upside to his power potential. He is a solid INF prospect with smooth hands and sneaky athleticism. The floor is high on the mound with feel for two pitches and a nasty wipe out slider that explodes with late two tier break.

Caleb Costa RHP / Oceanside Collegiate, SC / 2022

Costa has seen the stock rise during the offseason, he has clearly tweaked the delivery in spots and picked up some additional velo. He worked the FB up to 88 consistently sitting 85-86. Attacked the zone with a quick tempo delivery and high effort. FB, CB, CH all on display. Durable frame could easily carry additional workload.

River Joye RHP / 3B / Clover , SC / 2023

Athletic 2023 arm. Quick, clean arm stroke produced a FB up to 80 with 2200-2300 rpm's. He also showed feel for a SL at 69 mph with 2200 rpm's. Joye repeats his delivery well and shows a advanced feel for his pitches. Big upside present as he matures.

INFIELDERS

Will Morris 1B / RHP / Lugoff-Elgin, SC / 2021

The USC Upstate recruit showed why he is one of the top 1B in the state. His BP round was a full blown laser show with multiple balls leaving the yard as well as one or two finding their way into the Wando River. Bigtime physical upside gives an immediate presence in the box. He showed great hand eye coordination and could make an immediate impact at the next level.

Parker Hocutt SS / 3B / Cardinal Newman, SC / 2022

Athletic infielder with lean strength. Improved his INF velo and Exit Velo numbers from the summer and given the athleticism present these should continue to trend up through the spring. Solid MINF prospect with consistent actions and good hands. Will be able to make an impact at multiple positions at the next level.

Landon Sexton 3B / SS / York, SC / 2022

Long XL frame is trending up. The RHH showed a line drive approach with good hands and feel for the barrel. Exit Velo is up to 90 and will continue to improve as he gets stronger. He also produced a consistently smooth effort during his defensive evaluation. The sure handed 3B has above average footwork and produced accurate throws across the INF at 78 mph.

Physical C has filled out the frame. Big time bat speed and power present. Used the pull side of the field consistently driving multiple balls to the wall as well as up and out to LF. Utility man is solid behind the dish with a strong arm and also could see time at 3B or even in the OF.
