On Wednesday, we headed to beautiful Trevecca Nazarene as they hosted the regional final between Eagleville and Grace Christian Academy - Franklin. We previously saw Eagleville about 2 weeks ago here (https://www.prepbaseballreport.com/news/TN/PLUS-Day-Report-Thursday-8A-9748021635), so their reports will be shorter. GCA walked off Eagleville, as pinch hitter Carson Maloney executed a 2-strike squeeze to win it 8-7. Both teams ended up winning their Friday games to advance to the Class A State Tournament next Tuesday. Read up on standouts, including 2020 SS Kitch Cash, who delivered 3 hits and a homer below:

KITCH CASH / 3B / RHP / GRACE CHRISTIAN - FRANKLIN, TN / 20203-4, HR SS had a big day, including taking the first pitch he saw on the day and driving it over the LF wall for a 2-run homer to get the scoring started. Medium, sturdy frame w/ some present lower half strength, some upper body projection. Offensively, hits w/ a straight on, very slightly crouched stance w/ very short hand and lower half rhythm into stride to square and short hand load. Generates bat speed through the zone. Pull oriented approach w/ lot of line drives when right. Has some juice to his pull-side, chance for all fields power as learns to swing for it early in the count.
