As we look ahead to the 2023 season, the PBR Tennessee staff is excited to release the first edition of the 2026 TN Rankings. As they prep for their freshman Spring, we've started the list with forty talented prospects to keep an eye on throughout the next year. Headlined by OF Jaser Arms (SESI), who committed to Alabama in August following a standout showing at Jr. Future Games, the class is heavy with young two-way talent and upside arms.

As this is the first release for the young class, this list will continue to evolve and expand throughout the next four years. As always, the evaluation process is a fluid and ongoing process with multiple viewings in order to get the best feel for players abilities. It’s important to note that as players continue their development some show marked improvement at a much more rapid pace. That doesn’t indicate that other players got worse or went backwards, it’s just how player development works.  As the year unfolds, players make improvements and new prospects pop up on the radar expanding the PBR rankings universe.  In addition to the evaluations of players, our scouts, both those in Tennessee and nationally, have also had multiple discussions with each other to review our individual lists and then make adjustments based on what we've each seen.

Look forward to more content covering the 2026 rankings and another update heading into the Spring season as well as the PBR national rankings scheduled to come out on Friday! Now, here are some notes on the initial top ten and check out the rankings for all forty prospects below.

Inside the Top Ten

No.1: Jaser Arms, OF, SESI, 2026
The Maryville area outfielder was outstanding at the 2022 PBR Jr. Future Games, picking up base hits in bunches and rarely taking a bad swing. Displayed a balanced approach with a precise eye and feel for the zone. He hit three doubles using all fields with easy power and more to project as he fills out. Showed upside as a CF prospect, gliding in the outfield. He was a must watch prospect at Lakepoint with college recruiters following along late into the night cap games. The performance and a strong summer with Exposure locked him in a commitment to Alabama in early August.

No. 2 Jack Dugan, SS, Lipscomb Academy, 2026
The Lippy shortstop is a two time member of the Jr Future Games and this summer he was on a mission to prove he is an elite prospect. Dugan played a critical role at the top of the lineup and up the middle defensively. Lean, wiry frame with much room to project and add strength. Sure handed at SS with advanced footwork and smooth hands while also getting some time in CF. Simple approach looking to spray to all fields with a clean left handed stroke. Dugan also got to see a little varsity time for the Mustangs last Spring, but looks to play a bigger role for the D2-AA runner ups after committing to the Vols in early August.

No. 3 Eli Dickey, RHP, Christ Presbyterian Academy, 2026
The CPA product had a breakout performance at the 2021 Jr Future Games at Lakepoint when he tossed 5 hitless innings vs Indiana. Dickey has continued to make strides on the mound making him the number right handed pitcher in the class. After getting varsity time with CPA last Spring, Dickey was up to 86 this summer at Lakepoint with low spin and sink complimented by a high spin SL. He rounds the mix with a splitter, and no he does not throw a knuckleball. He's an older guy in the class and garnered some USA looks this summer, which will have recruiters following him this Spring.

No. 4 Brooks Berry, C/CINF, McMinn County, 2026
Berry is a two time Jr Future Gamer and this past year established himself as a middle of the order lefty bat. Knack for hitting, but improved open his other tools with better athleticism and defensive versatility. He lacks arm strength, which should develop in time, but has the ability to play all the corner positions or stick behind the plate, depending on the arm. Nonetheless, Berry is one of the top power bats in the class after committing to Alabama in early August.

No. 5 Jameson Napper, LHP, Grace Christian Academy, 2026
Another young GCA arm coming down the pipeline after moving into the state last year. Napper was limited on the mound this summer due to some minor arm issues, but he was a big helium arm this fall, garnering a lot of power 5 buzz. Reports of him in the mid to upper 80s and event some upside with the bat as he looks to be an impact guy for the Lions this Spring.

No. 6 Kaden Powell, OF/RHP, Smith County, 2026
Powell has a towering frame with some athleticism and two-way upside. Before starring on the gridiron as QB1, Powell was up to 85 this summer at Lakepoint while still fairly new to pitching. Positionally, slots in the outfield and has the looks of a middle of the order lefty bat. He played a key role at the 2021 Jr Future Games helping lead the team to a gold bracket appearance. Powell should be a two-way impact for Smith County this Spring and will be an easy one to point out in a crowd.

No. 7 Bo Holloway, LHP, Nolensville, 2026
Another Nolensville southpaw cracks the top ten in the freshman ranks, which now No. 1 Ethan McElvain did four years ago. Holloway has a long, projectable frame at 6-foot-3, 175-lb. This summer, he consistently turned in dominant starts with strikeouts in bunches and limited walks. Reports of him in the mid 80s with more in the tank and the potential to play a big role for Nolensville this Spring.

No. 8 Adam Riley, RHP, Jo Byrns, 2026
The Jo Byrns product has played a big part at the past two Jr Future Games, especially on the mound. Average sized frame but flashes of big time stuff with a FB in the mid 80s and feel for a breaking ball. Shows advanced command, using the FB both in and out. Expected to fill a big role this Spring for Jo Byrns and going to be a fun one to follow over the next few years.

No. 9 Cole ReSue, SS/RHP, Science Hill, 2026
The Science Hill product has shown athleticism and two-way upside at Dirtbags Scout Day in Virginia. He's got some projection in his frame at 6-foot-2, 170-lb with a chance to play up the middle and contribute on the mound. His future leans towards the mound as he's already touched 86 this summer with more in the tank. With a lot of graduating seniors last year, he could have some opportunities this Spring with the Toppers.

No. 10 Harrison Pollina, OF/RHP, Munford, 2026
Pollina was a member of Team TN at the 2021 Jr Future Games and he's continued to progress. Lot of projection at 6-foot-2, 165-lb and athleticism. He's got a chance to contribute in the outfield, in large part to his speed and arm strength, but has room to improve with the bat. He leans towards the mound with a low 80s FB and solid breaking ball, both with great spin qualities.
