It's been a long, action-packed fall season throughout Texas. Much has happened over the course of the two-plus months since the launch of PBR Texas, all of which is reflected in our comprehensive 2018 Texas Top 100.

This is the first PBR Texas rankings with updates to come in the early spring, after our three winter events and before the high school season kicks off. To see our complete list of events click here.

The talent level in this state is second-to-none, including these five hitters from the top 50 of our Texas Top 100.

+ 3B/RHP Ty Abraham (George Ranch HS). The 6-foot-2, 182-pound Houston recruit is ranked #22 overall. The two-way player also shows strong, advanced offensive skills. The right-handed hitter starts with a slow, early load, shows good leverage at contact with real power to the middle of the field. He hammered ball to center field during batting practice. During the game he smoked a line-drive to right field.

+ 1B Jose Gonzalez (Klein HS). 6-foot-1, 195-pound Texas Tech recruit is ranked #23 overall. The left-handed hitter has an advanced approach and feel for hitting, showing the rare trait of both balance and power. Gonzalez uses the whole field and the ball makes a different sound when it comes off his bat.

+ OF Korey Holland (Langham Creek HS). The 5-foot-11, 165-pound Texas recruit is ranked as the #1 outfielder in the 2018 class and #29 overall. Shows good actions in the outfield with clean exchange into his throwing motion. He has a shorter, quick arms swing that creates good carry in his throws. Offensively, the right-handed hitter has a good set-up and bat speed with a short hand-path showing a strong top-hand punch to square up balls. Holland was 1-for-3 in the game that followed the workout. He had a sharp base-hit ground ball to centerfield, hammered a fly ball to right field, walked, and grounded out to shortstop running a 4.26 down the line.

+ 1B/C Jose Gutierrez (Lamar HS). The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Dallas Baptist recruit is ranked #31 overall. Strong left-handed hitter works with good rhythm and a leg kick to get started, with a hand-cock that moves the barrel to point nearly at the right hand batter's box. His quick hands are able to rip through the zone with ease, and apply powerful contact to the ball with good lower-half transfer. He takes good cuts during games with plenty of bat speed and strength in his hands.

+ C Cole Stilwell (Rockwall Heath HS). The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Texas A&M Corpus Christi recruit is ranked #44 overall. The right-handed hitter was impressive at multiple tournaments this fall. He can handle velocity and has an advanced feel for hitting breaking balls on the barrel.
