2019 UIL Team Preview - Goliad
February 13, 2019
The Texas high school season kicks off on February 21, the first day for regular season games. Most teams will begin practicing on January 25, getting their rosters set and finalizing their lineups.
Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we will be rolling out team previews of high school teams all across the state and across all classifications, eventually launching our Preseason Power 25.
We have been sending out our annual Preseason Questionnaire to coaches all across the state and as the responses flood in we will bring you a snapshot of what to expect along with top players and keys to success for that particular team. If you don’t see your team’s season preview make sure your head coach fills out his Preseason Questionnaire.

SEASON PREVIEW
GOLIAD – A heavily upperclassman returning roster with a experience of a solid playoff run the previous spring, Goliad is setting their bar for 2019 very high.
Coach Adcock has five seniors leading the way this spring: 1B/LHP Lucas Proschko, who hit .403 in 2018, PBR Texas’ No. 43 ranked catcher and Murray State JC commit, Tuffy Domburg, UTL Rocky Morris, OF Ryan De la Garza, and OF Chris Torres. Juniors Gunner Schrade (catcher), and Jason Gutierrez (RHP), look to build off of valuable sophomore seasons.
