2024 Team Preview: Timber Creek Falcons

Prep Baseball Texas Staff

The 2024 Texas high school baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Texas.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in Austin at the UIL State Tournament in June, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Texas. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 30 rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

Please keep checking back throughout the season as we will be your one-stop shop for everything related to high school baseball across the state. Each week we will be releasing our Players of the Week and updating the Power 30 rankings.

Our 2024 preseason coverage continues today.

TEAM OUTLOOK

The Timber Creek Falcons return a ton of experience from a 2023 team that finished the season as 6A Bi-District Finalists. Led by Coach Chuck Wells, the Falcons bring back an improved offense, a solid defensive core, and pitching depth that includes two arms committed to playing at the next level.

Louisiana-Monroe signee, C/RHP Zeke Seoane (2024) will headline the 2024 Falcons roster after winning District Defensive Player of the Year a season ago. Seoane is a player our staff is very familiar with after being a two-time Texas State Games participant as recently as this past fall. Seoane impressed at the aforementioned State Games this past fall where he showed a strong arm (77 mph) behind the dish, paired with a 92.9 mph max exit velocity with the bat. Seaone is currently ranked No. 77 in the state, and could be the x-factor for the 2024 Falcons squad.

The two college-committed arms for the Falcons are a pair of senior righties in INF/RHP Harrison Hankins (UTPB) and RHP Daniel Bradley (Grayson College). This pair should be a stabilizing force for the pitching staff and lead the way for the young pitchers on the staff.

On the defensive side, Timber Creek returns a reigning First Team All-District infielder in INF/RHP Harrison Chistiana (2024; uncommitted). Christiana will be joined on the dirt and in the senior class by INF/RHP Jaylen Edwards (Pratt) and INF/RHP Austin Myers (uncommitted). The Falcons have an impressive junior pairing on the infield as well. Headlined by the reigning District Newcomer of the Year in CIF Talan Sullivan (2025; uncommitted), as well as 2023 Texas State Games standout C/INF Andrew Allen (2025; uncommitted). Our staff did an uncommitted spotlight on Allen back in November, following his State Games performance. Allen is currently ranked within the top-150 for the state.

The Falcons are projected to have three junior newcomers joining the varsity squad in 2024 in OF/RHP Chance Bedford (uncommitted), OF/RHP Austin Wylie (uncommitted), and INF/C Jackson Avery (uncommitted). Keep an eye on OF/UTL Milo Wilson (2027) and UTL Blake Lopez (2027) as potential immediate impact freshmen for this season.

The Falcons have some really quality pieces to build around for this year and in future years. And with the talent they have in the senior class, that group should be able to help usher in the youth on the roster. Look for the Falcons to build off of their 6A playoff run from last season with the talent they bring back in 2024.
