Each week, PBR Texas will be showcasing players that had stellar performances from across the state. The talent level in Texas is second-to-none, and our Scouting Staff is covering games and evaluating players on a daily basis. Here is a list of players that had stand out performances last week.

+ J.J. Kruzel, RHP/OF, Little Elm HS, 2017
extended his hitting streak to 7 games and lowered his era to 1.515 on the season and .438 during district play by going 1-0 on the mound. He and Carson Cox threw a combined 1 hitter with 7 K’s and 1 BB against Newman Smith.

+ Logan Kohler, 2B/RHP, Little Elm HS, 2019
Oklahoma recruit.  Went 1-0 on the mound lowered his era to 1.167 on the year by throwing 5.2 innings giving up 1 hit and 7 K’s. Dylan Salinas closed the game against Newman Smith with 4 K’s in 1.1 innings.

+ Chris Edwards, RHP, Garrison HS, 2017
Threw a Perfect Game against the Hemphill Hornets last Friday, struck out 11-of-the-15 batters he faced in 5 innings. He went 2 for 7 this week with two doubles and three RBI in two big wins against Hemphill and Woodville.

+ Ryan Hill, RHP, Mansfield Legacy HS, 2018
Ryan threw a complete game shutout this past week against Mansfield Summit. He only gave up 3 H, 1 BB, and had 6 strikeouts. This helped improve Mansfield Legacy to 5-1 in district play which puts them in a tie for first. Season Stats: 33 IP. 3-1 Record. 4 ER, 18 H. He has 32 K’s and only 4 BB. His ERA for the season is now 0.848

4-6, 3B, 5 RBI. Improved his District BAVG to .524 (11-21) through 7 games
