3-6-18; District Opener against Port Isabel, Threw out 3-5 Baserunners at 2B in a game that went 10 innings with a win 3-2

3-9-18; Daniel Gutierrez in a rival game vs the Lyford Bulldogs pitched 4 innings in relief striking out 9 total batters with  4 in a row. With runners on in the bottom 7 hits a game tying triple with 0 outs and bases loaded in the bottom of 7 steals home to win the game and the first ever Willacy County Baseball Classic Championship.

3-10-18; Daniel threw out the lead runners in back to back innings both times for the 3rd out to stop scoring opportunities by the St. Joseph Bloodhounds also help turned a bases loaded double play 5-2-3 to help out his young pitcher and get out of an inning.  This sealed the win for the Bearkats 5-2.
