TEXAS -
The 2023 graduating class in the state of Texas shows a well-balanced group all over the field. Today we take a look at a heavy load of players up the middle of the field in premium positions. Some known more for their bat and some known more for the glove but all will be guys to see this summer and follow their improvements. We are excited to follow along with all of the prospects we have already seen, and look forward to seeing many more that will soon make jumps and work their way into future rankings

PROSPECTS

Tristan Russell (Cy Woods) a Florida State Recruit takes the No. 1 at the SS position. A player who's bat plays right now right now and is his main tool. Simple setup at the plate with a compact power stroke. A player who we will look forward to following the growth of this summer. Following closely at No.2 is Noah Paddie (Marshall) already one of the more exciting players in the class, Paddie’s plus-speed as a 6.59-runner in the 60-yard dash, and all-around athleticism make him a player to watch closely. Paddie in the eyes of recruiters moving forward, and his ability to continue as a threat on the base paths will only help boost all of his twitchy-tools.

At No. 3 is Tanner Sever (Coppell) started for the Cowboys this spring. A left-handed hitting SS, who has the ability to drive the ball to all fields with a compact swing. Defensively, has a calmness about his actions and has shown the ability to come in and play through the ball well.  Coming in at No. 4 is a two-sport athlete in SS/QB1 Lathan Van Ausdall (Allen) Shows some explosiveness with the bat, with flashes of a gap-to-gap type swing. On the infield has twitchy actions, attacks the ball tentatively with good hands with a clean exchanges.
