MAGNOLIA, TX - Magnolia West hosted cross-town rival Magnolia on Tuesday in a district 19-5A matchup.

2019 RHP Connor Phillips (No. 10 in 2019 PBR Texas rankings, No. 53 in 2019 PBR overall rankingsand No. 100 in 2019 PBR Draft rankings; committed to LSU) got the start on the bump for Magnolia West. Phillips went six innings allowing one run on four hits and six walks with four strikeouts. 2019 LHP Robert Revels (committed to Hill College) got the save pitching the 7th inning, allowing one run on no hits and one walk with one strikeout.

Offensively, Magnolia West was led by 2019 OF Brady Huckfelt, 2019 2B Willie Ibarra and 2019 SS Zach Wall (No. 266 in 2019 PBR Texas rankings, committed to Air Force) all had RBI while 2020 1B JP Ellwanger and Huckfelt both had two hits.

2020 RHP Joey Raker started for Magnolia and threw the complete game allowing three runs on nine hits and two walks with seven strikeouts, mixing a low-80's fastball and a low-70's curveball.
