Here is a quick roundup of the arms that threw yesterday in the first round of the Texas High School Baseball playoffs.

Jack Neely, RHP, Churchill High School, 2018
Texas commit – Neely showed command of a heavy sinking four-seam fastball clocking in at 90-91 T92 and a sharp tailing two-seam fastball at 88-89. His slider, which occasionally showed plus action with 11/4 shape, was 81-84 T85, and his 12/6 curveball came in at 71-75. Neely’s 6-9 frame provides leverage and deception for all of his pitches. Neely struck out seven hitters over six innings, scattering four hits and four walks. Aside from an unearned run in the first inning and two earned runs allowed in the fourth inning, he showed a powerful outing on the mound.
