The Texas high school season kicks off on February 19, the first day for regular season games. Most teams will begin practicing on January 26, getting their rosters set and finalizing their lineups.

Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we will be rolling out team previews of high school teams all across the state and across all classifications, eventually launching our Preseason Power 25.

We have been sending out our annual Preseason Questionnaire to coaches all across the state and as the responses flood in we will bring you a snapshot of what to expect along with top players and keys to success for that particular team. SEASON PREVIEW

The Gunter Tigers return six starters from last year's conference championship team, including three All-State selections in 3B Zach Lowe, 1B Daylan Bower and OF Matt Hunter. First Team All-District OF Braiden Clopton and Second Team All-Distrcit 2B Logan Nelson should also be big contributors on offense and defense.  With only one pitcher returning, the big question mark will be on the mound for Gunter. Coach Kerry Clement will look to Kaden Satre and Austin Oblas to step up and fill the pitching void. OF Peyton Lowe and SS Bryson Rigsby will be asked to make immediate contributions early in their high school careers.
