COLLEGE STATION, TX - On July 27, our PBR Texas Staff hosted the South TX Underclass Games at Texas A&M University. The event featured a highly talented group of prospects from the 2023-2025 classes. Players started the day off by going through a workout where they ran the 60, threw from positions, hit BP on field, and ended the day by splitting into teams and playing a simulated game. Today, we take a look at some of our staff's first impressions from the event.
Trent Rucker had a quality day all-around, running a 6.79 60 (the fastest of the day), throwing 86 from the outfield and on the mound, and a 92.59 mph exit velocity in BP.
Colton Griffin ran one of the top 60’s of the day, running a 6.80 while having an 89.86 mph exit velocity in BP.
Mayson Winters ran a 6.86 60, had a max exit velocity of 95.31 during BP and had multiple good AB’s during the game.
Nolan Traeger had a 2.04 pop time with 76 velo from behind the dish and a 91.86 max exit velocity during BP and then also hit a home run during the game.
Daniel Garcia had a quality all around day, running a 6.91 60 and then throwing 88 from the outfield and on the mound during the game.
Kyle Lockhart had a quality day running a 6.96 60 and threw 86 from the outfield.
Jackson Blank had a quality day throwing 84 across the infield, up to 85 on the mound and then had a max exit velocity of 92.27 during BP.
Bryson Campbell had the top velo from behind the plate of 77 with a 2.11 pop time while having a max exit velocity of 93.52.
Tanner Sever had a quality day hitting with a max exit velocity of 93.60 during BP and then a double during the game.
Jackson Priesmeyer had the top exit velocity of the day during BP of 99.44 mph.
Karsten Fidler and Clayton Freshcorn had the top velos across the infield of 85 while Freshcorn was also up to 85 on the mound.
Jackson Elizondo had a quality day throwing 86 from the outfield while being up to 85 on the mound and also had a max exit velo of 94.03 during BP.
Colt Ericson and Drew Dyer had two of the top exit velos in BP with 96.43 and 94.71 respectively.
