season preview

Mansfield Legacy returns six hitters from 2016, including three All-District players. The Broncos have a strong core of infielders led by senior shortstop Riley Blanton who was 2nd Team All-District. Alongside Blanton are junior second baseman Ryan Hill and junior third baseman David Vargas (1st Team All District). Covering ground in the center field will be senior Kendall Catalon. Catalon, a 1st Team All District player last year, hit .356. Senior Grant Moore, a utility player, hit six home runs last year and will provide some added power to an already solid line-up.

Although Legacy only returns one starting pitcher from last years team, senior Kendall Catalon will add stability in a rotation that will look to several juniors and one senior to fill in the gaps.

Keep an eye on sophomore catcher Nate Rombach. Rombach was impressive this fall in front of our PBR Scouts, earning a current ranking of #31 in Texas and #215 Overall.
