The Texas high school season kicks off on February 19, the first day for regular season games. Most teams will begin practicing on January 26, getting their rosters set and finalizing their lineups.

Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we will be rolling out team previews of high school teams all across the state and across all classifications, eventually launching our Preseason Power 25.

We have been sending out our annual Preseason Questionnaire to coaches all across the state and as the responses flood in we will bring you a snapshot of what to expect along with top players and keys to success for that particular team. SEASON PREVIEW

Stevens is a team poised to come into their own this season. With no seniors on the roster, the Falcons will rely heavily on their 2019s, but that does not mean they come without experience. Two-way prospect Will Marin, a First Team All-District selection as a sophomore last season, and INF/RHP Jacob Arriola will lead the pitching staff in addition to manning the infield. C Louis Bonillas will hold things down behind the dish and OF Fabian Bernal will use his range in the outfield. We have seen a good bit of Bernal over this past summer and fall. He has an athletic frame, fast-twitch tools, sub-7 runner (6.95), has a great feel for the barrel and consistently makes hard contact. Currently Ranked No. 141 in TX 2019 Class.
