The Texas high school season kicks off on February 19, the first day for regular season games. Most teams will begin practicing on January 26, getting their rosters set and finalizing their lineups.

Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we will be rolling out team previews of high school teams all across the state and across all classifications, eventually launching our Preseason Power 25.

We have been sending out our annual Preseason Questionnaire to coaches all across the state and as the responses flood in we will bring you a snapshot of what to expect along with top players and keys to success for that particular team. SEASON PREVIEW

Expectations are high for Victoria East after a conference title and an appearance in the Area Finals last season. Coach Wes Kolle will need some newcomers to step up and fill some big shoes after only returning one starter and one pitcher. Cisco JC commit RHP Hudson Oliver will be at the forefront of the pitching staff while 2020 RHP Jacob Martinez is posied to make a larger imapct this season. C Landon Simpson will be the offensive catalyst for the Titans. Look for junior transfer Erick Davila to hold down the middle of the field at shortstop.
