HOUSTON, TX - St. Thomas hosted Houston Waltrip in a non-district matchup on Thursday afternoon.

St. Thomas 2019 RHP Josh Wolf (No. 4 in 2019 PBR Texas rankings, No. 12 in 2019 PBR overall rankings and No. 27 in 2019 PBR Draft Board, committed to Texas A&M) got the start in what amounted to being a bullpen session for him. Wolf went two innings allowing one hit and no runs with five strikeouts and one walk. 2019 RHP Jackson Crawford, 2019 RHP Tucker Alch, 2020 3B/RHP Daniel Coco and 2019 SS/RHP Jack Schell (No. 208 in 2019 PBR Texas rankings) combined for the final five innings to finish off the shutout.

St. Thomas was led at the plate by 2019 OF Brody Logsdon (No. 126 in 2019 PBR Texas rankings, committed to Sam Houston State) who had three hits and a home run with five RBI, Schell who had three hits as well with five RBI and Coco who had two hits and an RBI.

Offensively for Waltrip, they were led by 2019 1B Kai Peterson and 2019 OF Daniel Smidt who both had a hit and a walk.

Josh Wolf, RHP, St. Thomas, 2019
Texas A&M commit. 6-foot-2, 175-pound athletic, wiry, projectable frame with a high waist. The right-hander throws from a high ¾ slot with a loose, quick arm swing. His fastball was 92-94 mph, touched 95 mph with late run inside to righties. He also threw a slider at 77-78 mph with swing and miss to his glove side.
