Stony Point vs. Vista Ridge

CEDAR PARK, TX - As the playoffs are quickly approaching, teams are jockeying for one of the four playoff spots. In a tightly packed District 13-6A, the Stony Point Tigers visited the Vista Ridge Rangers with hopes of separating themselves.

Two senior arms took the hill tonight for their respective teams. 2019 RHP Carter Poulson was handed the ball for the Stony Point Tigers. Vista Ridge countered with southpaw Dawson Groch.

The Stony Point offense got started early in the first inning. After the first two batters reached for Stony Point, Kamden Kelton knocked one in on a sacrifice fly to center field. Another run came in to score on a wild pitch later in the inning and the Tigers went up 2-0. Stony Point extended their lead in the fourth, where they plated six runs. Vista Ridge would attempt to mount a comeback, scoring in each of the last three innings, but ultimately came up short.

Final Score: Stony Point 8, Vista Ridge 4
