Team Preview: Midland Lee
February 3, 2020
The Texas high school season kicks off on February 24, the first day for regular season games. Most teams will begin practicing on January 31, getting their rosters set and finalizing their lineups.
Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we will be rolling out team previews of high school teams all across the state and across all classifications, eventually launching our Preseason Power 25.
We have been sending out our annual Preseason Questionnaire to coaches all across the state and as the responses flood in we will bring you a snapshot of what to expect along with top players and keys to success for that particular team. If you don’t see your team’s season preview make sure your head coach fills out his Preseason Questionnaire.

SEASON PREVIEW
Coach Brian Roper and the Midland Lee Rebels return five starters from last year's 22-12 team. The Rebels will rely on their offensive production and defensive efforts to ultimately get them to where they need to be. Leading the way is seniors RHP Reese Alford, and 2B Niko Rubio both can be expected to be contributing factors to the success of this year’s squad. Also, returning is a strong core of juniors in SS Trevor Roper, and INF/OF Hayden Westenburg look for both to help anchor the defense.
