CARTERSVILLE, GA - Here is a break down of all the position players that Team Texas had on display at the 2019 Futures Games last week.

 Defense/Hitting:

2021 SS/3B Luke Heefner (Home School) Heefner stood out in the showcase phase of day 1, putting on a display at the plate and putting up some top-tier numbers at SS. The 5-foot-11, 155-pounder as quick in each direction to the ball at SS, clean actions with his arm and rifled up to 91 mph across the field. Showed out with a nice round of hard BP, started with his hands high, quick to attack the ball, slight uphill plane through the zone, and showed that there is even more power to come. 88 mph exit velocity.

2022 SS/3B Anthony Silva (Clark) Silva is the youngster on the Team Texas roster, but he showed out as one of the big guns to keep a very close eye on. A plus-plus defender, Silva showed quick reactions, speed into approach, exceptionally clean glovework, and put up 88 mph across the diamond. The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder has a very high ceiling at the plate, showed line drive power around the field from a simple set up on the right side and projects to develop more power. 91 mph exit velocity.
