The Texas Diamond Notes will focus on highlighting some of the top performances across the state based on nominations from high school coaches. We will highlight positions players, pitchers and two-way players every Tuesday/Wednesday of the high school season that had impressive weeks during their team's games. Special thank you to the many high school coaches that sent in nominations this week.

+ Nathan Parker, P/CF (Canton, 2025):
Hit a grand slam, threw a one-hitter on mound, 8 RBI in one game; 7-for-10 (.700), 4 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 1 BB, 14 RBI on the week.

+ Maximilliano Contreras, 1B (Molina, 2024):
7-for-9 (.778), 3 2B, 1 HR, 3 BB, 1 SB, 9 RBI on the week.

+ Colin Mulcahy, RF/1B (Bellaire, 2024):
7-for-12 (.583), 2 2B, 2 3B, 1 HR, 7 BB, 2 SB, 10 RBI on the week.

+ Kutter Gage Webb, SS (San Marcos, 2024):
After a weekend of playing great defense and being the big bat in the middle of the order, Webb came in to close and seal the 5-0 tournament record by pitching 1 1/3 scoreless innings against Sotomayor HS; 9-for-13 (.692), 2 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 1 BB, 1 SB, 6 RBI on the week.

+ Josh Arquette, 3B (Kingwood, 2024):
Broke the school record for doubles last year and led all of 6A baseball in doubles in 2023, and is off to another hot start in the doubles category, hitting 5 this past week; 10-for-18 (.556), 5 2B, 2 HR, 7 BB, 5 SB, 12 RBI as a hitter; as a pitcher vs. Conroe: 7 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 0 ER, 7 K. Arquette was named the Week 1 Mizuno Player of the Week.

+ Kingston Hangartner, 1B (Celina, 2024):
Had a 2 HR game; 8-for-16 (.500), 5 2B, 2 HR, 2 BB, 3 SB, 8 RBI on the week.

+ Justin Calderon, C (Calallen , 2024):
2 for 2 on steal attempts so far to begin 2024; 10-for-14 (.714), 4 2B, 5 RBI on the week.

+ Jackson Irons, 1B (Arlington, 2024):
2 big homeruns and a walkoff single in week 1; 7-for-14 (.500), 2 2B, 2 HR, 4 BB, 8 RBI on the week.

+ Caden Richardson, P/DH (Little Elm, 2024):
5-for-13 (.385), 2 2B, 2 HR, 9 BB, 1 SB, 6 RBI on the week as a hitter; as a pitcher vs. Georgetown: 3 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 0 ER, 7 K.

+ Easton Bettcher, SS (Lutheran South Academy, 2025):
10-for-16 (.625), 2 2B, 3B, 2 BB, 4 RBI on the week.

+ Drake McIver, P/DH (Royse City, 2024):
10-for-16 (.625), 3 2B, 4 BB, 2 SB, 5 RBI on the week.

+ Wade Stanaland, 1B (Woden, 2025):
Go-ahead 2 RBI double in opening game of tournament; 5-for-10 (.500), 3 2B, 1 3B, 7 RBI on the week as a hitter; as a pitcher vs. Kennard: 1 IP, 0 H, 1 BB, 0 ER, 2 K.

+ Hudson Cuevas, UTL (Cedar Park, 2027):
Played in his Varsity debut as a freshman this weekend vs all 6A programs (Cedar Park is 5A), had multiple extra base hits that came in huge either scoring the the go-ahead run or eventually him scoring as the go-ahead run. Shut down multiple teams late in games on the mound as well not allowing any runs; 7-for-15 (.467), 3 2B, 1 3B, 6 BB, 4 SB, RBI on the week as a hitter; as a pitcher vs. Buda Johnson & Wylie: 2.2 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 0 ER, 3 K.

+ Beaux Douthitt, LF (Cleburne, 2026):
9-for-16 (.563), 1 2B, 1 3B, 3 BB, 5 SB, 5 RBI on the week.

+ Errick Lewis, LF (Cypress Ranch, 2024):
Numerous 2 out RBI's; 6-for-12 (.500), 1 2B, 1 HR, 1 BB, 1 SB, 8 RBI on the week.

+ Bryce Buish, 1B/DH (Huffman-Hargrave, 2025):
Made several great plays at 1B, Threw 4 scoreless innings in relief, hit a HR; 4-for-9 (.444), 1 HR, 2 BB, 2 SB, 5 RBI on the week as a hitter; as a pitcher vs. Beaumont Westbrook: 4 IP, 1 H, 2 BB, 0 ER, 5 K.

+ Mathew Eben, RF (BF Terry , 2026):
9-for-17 (.529), 2 2B, 2 BB, 3 SB, 4 RBI on the week.

+ Lucas Dunn, 3B (Santa Fe, 2024):
6-for-14 (.429), 1 2B, 1 3B, 5 BB, 4 RBI on the week as a hitter; as a pitcher vs. Clear Falls & Brenham: 7 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 11 K.

+ Joaquin Costa, SS (A&M Consolidated, 2024):
Web gem that shut down an opponent's big inning and a 2-run double to give A&M Consolidated some insurance runs vs Hunstville; 7-for-16 (.438), 2 2B, 3 BB, 2 SB, 4 RBI on the week.

+ Easton Stewart, SS/ 3B (Snyder, 2024):
5-for-12 (.417), 1 2B, 2 BB, 3 SB, 3 RBI on the week.

+ Victor Coronado, 3B/RHP (Lutheran South Academy, 2025):
6-for-17 (.353), 4 2B, 1 BB, 1 SB, 4 RBI on the week as a hitter; as a pitcher vs. Strake Jesuit: 4.2 IP, 5 H, 2 BB, 3.43 ERA, 8 K.

+ Daniel Lopez, RHP/SS (Socorro, 2024):
He pitched a no-hitter with 14 strikeouts and 4 walks; vs. Lubbock: 7 IP, 0 H, 4 BB, 0 ER, 14 K. Lopez was named the Week 1 Mizuno Pitcher of the Week.

+ Brandt House, RHP/ SS (Snyder, 2024):
Vs. Hawley: 6 IP, 4 H, 1 BB, 0 ER, 7 K.

+ Matthew Lopez, RHP/3B (Calallen , 2024):
