On Saturday, Sept. 23, Prep Baseball Report is hosting its inaugural High School All-American Game at American Family Field, home of the Milwaukee Brewers. The unique event will feature the nation’s top high school seniors who are set to battle against a roster of the country’s best juniors in Class of 2024 vs. Class of 2025 action, giving pro scouts a unique look at current and future draft classes.

We’ve begun to unveil the event’s participants on our social media channels, and we’ll spotlight those players more closely on our site, too, highlighting past performances and scouting reports from the live looks we’ve gathered on this gifted group throughout the years.

Next we are spotlighting Griffin Burkholder, a Virginia native and the top-ranked outfielder in the state's senior class. The West Virginia commit is an ultra-athletic 6-foot-2, 195-pounds with a rare combination of power and speed. He put up massive numbers at our Mid-Atlantic ProCase last month, starting his day with a 6.41 60-yard dash. He then put on a show in batting practice, consistently peppering balls in the low-90s and peaking at 99.2 mph with his furthest batted ball traveling 392 feet. Burkholder put up eye-popping swing metrics as well, with a maximum bat speed north of 83 mph. Following his standout performance at last month's event, he will head to Milwaukee for the first ever PBR All-American Game.

With our recent rankings update, Burkholder moved into the top-75 in the nation. Check out what the PBR Virginia/DC staff had to say about him: "Moving up two places, to the second spot, is Freedom (South Riding) outfielder, Griffin Burkholder. Burkholder had a breakout summer. The West Virginia commit was dinged up a little bit during the spring and just didn't seem to be able to get in a rhythm and flow of things, but he made up for it and some this summer. Burkholder is a three-plus tool player, showing a high end run tool, big arm strength, raw power, bat speed, and flashed some solid bat to ball skills at some big circuit events this summer."
