After a late summer/early fall update, there were not a ton of risers in this class. However, there were a few that have made a small jump in the rankings since our last update. Take a look at notes and some video on three players.

VA/DC 2025 Risers

Justin Summers C / Highland, VA / 2025

Summers continues to add to the 6-foot-2 frame. He has added lean strength and the skillset behind the dish is advanced and continues to get better. There is length in the swing out front and the ability to hit to all fields.

Jacob Eckhaus RHP / Briar Woods, VA / 2025

Eckhaus showed the ability to pitch and get outs earlier in the summer at Underclass State Games and took another step forward late this fall. The spin showed well at the Mid-Atlantic State Games and he has a chance to keep climbing as the velo creeps up.

John Michael Szefc SS / Blacksburg, VA / 2025

The hands work, there is rhythm in the swing, and some of the physical tools will come as he continues to add strength. There is a maturity to the way that the Blacksburg middle infielder plays the game.
