On Tuesday night, John Champe traveled to Prince William to take on Osbourn Park in a Cedar Run District game. Both teams sent junior righthanders to the mound to start the game, with Champe going with Ryan Grzesiak (Virginia Tech) and Osbourn Park starting Robbie Reilly

Both pitchers matched zeroes in the first two innings, and neither allowed a hit, with Reilly working around only a single walk over those two frames and Grzesiak striking out all six hitters he faced during that span.

The Knights got their first hits and runs of the evening in the top of the third, with Jake Trout delivering an RBI double and Grzesiak driving in two with a single to center to make the score 3-0. Champe tacked on another run in the fourth with an Adam Taylor RBI single. The Knights tacked on 6 more runs in the top of the fifth to make the score 10-0, Taylor and Grzesiak also had RBIs in that rally.

Grzesiak carried a no-hitter into the bottom of the fifth before giving up a pair of infield singles to open the inning before striking out the final three hitters to finish the game with a 10-0 win for John Champe.

Grzesiak went 5 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 11 K, 2 BB and was also 2-4 with 3 RBIs at the plate. Trout, Taylor, and Caiden Ertter each had two hit games while Gavin Cornicello was 3-3 with an RBI for the Knights. For Osbourn Park, Reilly's overall line does not reflect how well he pitched early in the game. Keith Davis and Lucas Battitori had the hits in the fifth for the Yellow Jackets.
