Breaking down Wisconsin in the overall 2015 rankings

By Steve Nielsen
Scouting Director – Wisconsin/Illinois

Over the last week or so the 2015 rankings have been updated at both the state level and overall level. The overall rankings were expanded to 300 and looking at Wisconsin, 14 of the top 2015 prospects got in to the top 300 overall. Many of the names are familiar to the rankings except one, SS Noah Jensen (Tremper).

Jensen came in at No. 14 in the updated Wisconsin rankings and has since cracked the overall rankings as the last Wisconsin prospect in. Jensen made a mark for himself in October with an impressive showing at the Southern Wisconsin Prospect ID.

Of the 14 prospects in the overall rankings, six made the top 100. C Pete Schuler (St. Joseph’s), RHP Bryant Jordan (Home School), RHP Brendan Meissner (West De Pere), SS Owen Miller (Ozaukee), OF Doran Turchin (Oak Creek) and SS Alex Henwood (Apleton North) all made the top 100.

C Pete Schuler, the top Wisconsin prospect, climbed two spots from the last rankings to No. 22.

RHP Jack Bredeson (Arrowhead), RHP Dustin Landers (Kaukauna), LHP Nickolas Lackney (Whitefish Bay), LHP Connor Wollersheim (Appleton North), RHP Mitchel Makarewicz (Oak Creek), C Rudy Rott (La Crosse Aquinas) and LHP Joseph Kaszubowski (Whitefish Bay) round out the top 300 overall prospects for Wisconsin.
