Breaking down Wisconsin in the overall 2016 rankings

By Steve Nielsen

The Overall 2016 Rankings were updated last week expanding the list to 100 of the top prospects in our coverage area. With 10 states now covered by the Prep Baseball Report we take a look at how Wisconsin faired in the overall ranks.

We’ve always been very high on the Class of 2016 in Wisconsin and it has already proven its worth with three verbal commitments. Wisconsin features 10 prospects in the overall ranks which puts them fifth behind Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Pennsylvania for number of prospects in the top 100.

Of the top ten Wisconsin prospects that are ranked overall, four are new to the list. RHP Nate Brown (Arrowhead), RHP Keith Kutzler (Tremper), RHP Ty Weber (Menomonee Falls) and RHP Ryan Schmitt (Arrowhead) have all made the overall ranks for the first time.
