Nicolet HS catcher/right-handed pitcher CJ Putterman has recently committed to Division II NJCAA McHenry County College in Crystal Lake, IL. The Scots are coming off a successful 2012 campaign going 35-20 under new Head Coach Jared Wacker, and taking a second place finish in the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference. Putterman should be a big addition to the Scots continued success in years to come.
Putterman is a two-way player with good athleticism and potential both on the mound and behind the plate. At 6-foot, 165-pounds Putterman possesses an athletic frame. On the mound he shows good command, using a long armed delivery from a high ¾ arm slot. His delivery is compact and balanced resulting in the ability to throw strikes consistently. Offensively Putterman shows the ability to square up baseballs with occasional pop. Putterman displays a good knack for the game; he plays the game hard and plays it the right way.
