Class of 2014 Rankings Updated

By Steve Nielsen
Scouting Director - Wisconsin

The Class of 2014 has been a mystery ever since the Prep Baseball Report has started covering Wisconsin. It seems that the talent pool at that class just isn’t as deep as other states, or even other classes in Wisconsin.

However, we have recently seen a few juniors over the last few months that are eager to prove that the Class of 2014 is not as weak as some might think. With ten new editions to the rankings we are steadily seeing more and more juniors step up and get noticed.  The biggest new addition is Carson Carmody of Barneveld HS who leaps into the No. 6 spot. We have also seen a number of other standouts at recent events who are making a name for themselves, including Parker Sniatynski (Marquette University HS) Aaron Mack (Madison Edgewood HS), Isaiah Strassburg (Chippewa Falls HS), and Thomas Sanchez (Holmen HS).

With the Preseason Identification Showcase just around the corner we look for more juniors to step up and get into the mix with the top ranked players.
