Fox Cities Preseason I.D.: Pitcher Analysis

PBR Scouting Staff

In our final positional breakdown from last month’s Fox Cities Preseason I.D., we’ll turn our attention to the day’s pitching prospects. This group encouraged us because of the obvious offseason work a number of these players put in.

Of those winter gains, we got to see junior RHP Andrew Sweetalla's (Appleton East) first hand and he leaped out to us. Typically a two-way prospect, Sweetalla only pitched at the event and looked excellent doing so. He recorded the day’s hardest fastball, touching 90 mph once, and demonstrated his athleticism and the projectable frame that will force us to keep our eyes on his development.

Fellow junior arm RHP Jason Jennerjohn (Hortonville), who just recently committed to Eastern Illinois, was also very impressive at the northeastern Wisconsin event. He showed confidence with his running fastball, tight curveball, and fading changeup. The three-pitch mix landed him the honor of being one of the day’s best performers.

And multi-sport athlete Kaden Krueger (Appleton West, 2020) continues to flash all sorts of tools and showed development as a lefty on the mound over the offseason in addition to filling his obligations to the high school’s basketball team.

To see how these three rounded out the day’s top pitching prospects, check out their reports below. We also have reports on each and every player who took the mound at the Feb. 17 showcase.
