KENOSHA - In a Metro Classic Conference matchup, the Angels of St. Catherine's came out swinging. Sending 11 hitters to the plate in the first inning, the Angels put seven runs on the board and would never look back, winning by a score of 13-3 in seven innings.

Heffel was dominant on the mound. Without showing his curveball until the third inning, Heffel was able to rack up nine strikeouts over his seven innings of work.  The 6-foot-6 junior right-hander allowed just five hits and only one earned run while walking two.

St. Catherine's made hard contact all game but the first inning was the difference in the game. Nate Simons and AJ Kaprelian started the game off with back to back base hits. After a fielders choice and a hit batter, junior Jimmy Carrington got his first of three hits and two RBI on the day. Derek Heffel would follow with an RBI single, then after a few Lancers defensive miscues the scored was quickly 7-0.
Junior Pete Del Fava tried to give the Lancers a chance ripping two doubles, scoring a run and driving in one but it just wasn't enough to get past Heffel and the Angels.

Nate Simons, Jimmy Carrington, and Lucas Connaughton all recorded three hits for St. Catherines. Carrington and Connaughton each drove in and scored two.

The win keeps St. Catherine's unbeaten at 6-0 and moves the Lancers to 4-2.
