KENOSHA – The first year program of Kenosha Indian Trail played host to Racine Case on Thursday in a Southeast Conference match-up. The Eagles took an early 4-0 lead and held on for a 6-5 victory in seven innings.
Junior Ryan Robbins paced the Eagle attack early with a big two run double in the second to give Case a four-run cushion. With Wisconsin-Milwaukee commit Zach Brenner on the mound, it proved to be enough for the Case senior.
Indian Trail did not go quietly. With a lineup full of underclassmen, freshman and No. 6 ranked prospect Gavin Lux pulled the Hawks within one after hitting a three-run homer off the right field foul pole in the fourth. But that’s as close as Indian Trail would get losing by a score of 6-5.
No. 14 ranked Zack Brenner picked up the win for Case as well as going 3-for-4 from the dish.
