Hitters' Spring League: Weekend Roundup May 12

With the summer baseball season right around the corner, this was the last weekend of the Hitters Spring League. Here’s how the last day finished out.

May 12

Navy 9, Red 6
CJ Putterman (Nicolet, 2013) led the Navy offense with a four hit day. The McHenry County commit drove in two and added a double.

Evan Kruczynski (Franklin, 2013) got the win in five innings racking up 12 strikeouts while scattering four hits and one walk.

Alex Herman (Marquette University, 2014) added two hits for Red in the defeat.

Carolina Blue 7, Purple 4
Doran Truchin (Oak Creek, 2015) and Drake Daniels (Cedarburg, 2015) both had two hits to pace Carolina Blue. Turchin scored twice while Daniels had an RBI.

Mitchel Makarewicz (Oak Creek, 2015) and Nickolas Lackney (Whitefish Bay, 2015) combined to strike out 11 in seven innings.

Gold 15, Orange 2
Cyrillo Watson (South Milwaukee, 2016) had a three RBI day at the plate for Gold. Ben DeGracie (South Milwaukee, 2016) chipped in with two hits, two RBI and three runs scored as well for Gold.

Pete Koscinski (Catholic Memorial, 2016) got the win striking out five in five innings of work.

Orange 6, Gold 5
Connor Kimple (Marquette University, 2016) had two hits with a double and scored a run while Jared Baldwin (Muskego, 2015) drove in two for Orange.

Nick Vasic (New Berlin Eisenhower, 2015) had a 2-for-2 day with a double, run scored and an RBI for Gold.

Carolina Blue 11, Purple 1
