Midwest Insider: Fall Scout Blog

By Drew Locascio and Matt Huck

Below are some of the notes gathered over the fall so far. We have grouped the notes by team; listed in alphabetical order. Listed are a few guys that have stood out from each team we have seen.

We have seen plenty of 2017 and 2018 prospects this fall that need to be followed closely moving forward.

(Teams Listed Alphabetically)

Cangelosi Baseball Black 2017

+ Chase Stanke, C, Marmion Academy, 2018 - 6-foot-1, 160-pound left-handed hitting catcher. Offensively, loose, whippy hands throughout contact. Bat stays through the hitting zone for a long time. Reached first base in three of his four plate appearances. Behind the plate popped a 1.97 and 2.05 in between innings. High level catcher in the 2018 class and should be a high follow moving forward.
