Today we conclude the analysis from the inaugural Kenosha Preseason ID Showcase with the Top Overall prospects from the event. 6-foot-5 right-handed pitcher Eli Campbell (South Milwaukee) takes the top spot. Campbell made a velocity jump from the summer and now works in the upper 80s with his fastball and has improved secondary offerings. Look for Campbell to receive a lot of college interest in the coming months.
Top Overall Prospects
1. Elijah Campbell, RHP, South Milwaukee, 2018
6-foot-5, 185-pound right-handed pitcher, long lanky frame, highly projectable. Delivery is athletic, wide rocker step to loose knee lift, works down the hill., uses slide step in stretch. Arm action is quick and loose, high ¾ slot, slight head and shoulder tilt at release, projects well. Fastball has some tilt, 85-87 mph. Curveball showed tight spin, 11/5 shape, 69-71 mph. Straight changeup is thrown near fastball arm speed, 76-78 mph, occasional sink. Campbell is a high follow 2018 prospect.
