The Milwaukee Future Prospect Showcase took place on Tuesday March 15th at Hitters Baseball Facility in Caledonia, WI.
The Future Prospect Showcase has a dual function. For most participants, this will be their first showcase event - an initial step toward achieving a player’s baseball goals. Part of this event is educational: there will be a lecture about what scouts look for, how to comport themselves, what to expect in the recruiting process, and the overall landscape of playing at the next level. The second function of the event is to identify young talent.
Today we roll out the stats from the event. Some of the stands out form the event were 202 LHP Tommy Lamb who sat 75-77 mph with his fastball and showed feel for his curveball at 60-62 mph. Sabastian Kloss ran a 7.69 60-yard dash, threw 80 mph from the outfield and topped out at 77 mph on the mound. Blake Read had a solid day with the top exit velocity of the event at 84 mph.
